What is *actually* a good differentiator?

I’m back from a week on the road and my homemade espresso is starting to hit the bloodstream, which means we’ve got a LOT of stuff to dive into in today’s edition.

But, before we do so… we’ve got a new community engagement we wanna test out.

And it requires YOUR input 🫵

We’re going to run a Power (half) Hour. A short and sweet community session, with zero presentations.

Expect polls, games, trivia, q&a’s, and prizes. Sweet, sweet prizes.

We want the community to help us pick what topic we’ll focus on for our first one of these. If you can take 12 seconds to share your input, it’d be greatly appreciated.

I’m stoked — you should be too — and cannot wait to see y’all there soon!

So, what makes a good differentiator?

We talk about competitive differentiation in our community a lot.

And for obvious reasons.

Then I stumbled across MJ Smith’s killer post on LinkedIn and it got me thinking 👇

What are the best and, well, not best differentiators businesses use today in their market?

What are the go-to tactics your reps lean on that get your product to stand out from the pack, or draw a much-maligned eye roll from your buyer?

And do people agree with MJ’s take that ‘easy to use’ is the biggest cop out of a differentiator? Or do you have even worse ones that come to mind?

Reply to this edition and lemme know because I’m really interested now to see the good, bad, and ugly.

p.s. – we’re gonna have some cool community engagements on this exact topic coming soon 👀
